Day 3 Subject: [firstname]: Your company page sets you apart from the crowd Hey [firstname]! Once you've made your professional LinkedIn profile, the next thing to add is your company page. This is basically like a profile, except you'll be writing about your business rather than about yourself personally. This means you should write in a manner that sounds a little more detached and professional, and you should focus on value proposition (how do people stand to gain from using your products or services) as well as on your mission statement and goals. A little SEO (search engine optimization through keywords) can go a long way here. Your branding is particularly important. Include a logo as your main 'profile image' instead of a picture of yourself, and do the same for your cover picture. This is an excellent way to tie all your various products or services together and create a coherent visual style. It's also a very important tool for creating authority in your niche, and for creating a cohesive experience for your visitors and customers. If you don't already have a logo, consider hiring somebody off Fiverr (http://fiverr.com) to design one for you – or reach out to a design company on LinkedIn. In addition to getting a logo, you'll also add another connection. As I'll explain tomorrow, connections are crucial to getting the most out of LinkedIn. You can actually get direct sales from your LinkedIn page if it's good, so make sure you give your visitors direct links to where they can buy what you're selling. At the same time, you'll want to demonstrate the success your products and services have enjoyed, and show how capable your business is. Talk about numbers of sales, customer reviews and so on. Finally, build your presence by making sure the entire team is on LinkedIn. People often search for a specific type of contact on LinkedIn, so the more people your business has listed, the greater the chances of your business being found. This is a strategy large corporations use to their advantage – you can too! Talk soon! [Your Name] PS. Another good strategy is to grab a copy of my LinkedIn success guide.
