Day 1 Subject: [firstname]: Thanks for signing up Dear [firstname], Thanks for signing up to this short e-course on getting the most out of LinkedIn. Over the coming days I'm going to be sending you a LOT of information; be sure to check your inbox every day and mark my messages as “important”. You may also want to set some time aside each day to read my messages and act on the information they contain. Specifically, we're going to talk about: Optimizing your LinkedIn profile for maximum results The importance of your company page The different types of LinkedIn marketing If it's worth “going premium” And a whole lot more besides! Of course, if you want to get a head start on all this, I've put together a no holes barred guide to LinkedIn success. You can read all about it here: [link to sales page]. What is LinkedIn and why should you care? LinkedIn is a social network that not a lot of people know about. Why? Because it's all about business. Facebook is fine for connecting with old high school buddies and sharing photos of your latest vacation. Twitter is perfect for getting your message out to a wide audience – as politicians know only too well. But LinkedIn? LinkedIn is where the true captains of industry (both large and small) hang out. It's where decision makers connect with other decision makers. If your business deals with other businesses, then LinkedIn is where you need to be. When it comes to business to business marketing, LinkedIn is where you can get the “right” eyeballs looking at what you have to offer. Don't make the mistake of thinking that LinkedIn is just Facebook for executives, though. As you'll see in the coming days, the approach you need to take on LinkedIn is very different from the approach you need to take on other social media platforms. Sincerely, [Your Name] PS. Tomorrow I'll cover the most important aspect of LinkedIn that you need to master. Get this wrong and all your efforts are doomed to failure. I'll explain more tomorrow; be sure to check your inbox then.
