Day 7 Subject: [firstname]: Get the traffic flowing! Hi [firstname], Wow! We've covered a lot over the last few days – everything from deciding on the type of online business that would suit you, choosing your niche, getting your site design and brand sorted out, and making sure you can get paid. There's one more step to take, though, because without this one vital ingredient you'll never make any money. That vital ingredient? Traffic! The best (and cheapest) way of getting traffic to a website is to have it rank highly in Google and other search engines. That takes time and requires search engine optimization (SEO). In the meantime, you should look at paid methods to get your site noticed. The quickest method is by using pay-per-click ads (PPC). As the name would imply, these are advertisements where you pay a small fee every time someone clicks on the ad and is directed to your website. Of all PPC platforms, probably the best known one is Google Ads. These are the “wantads” style advertisements you see down the right-hand side of the page when you do a search in Google. The amount you pay depends on your niche and keyword. Better than Google Ads is Facebook Advertising. It works on the same principle, but because Facebook collects way more information about their users, you can narrow the search criteria right down. That means only people who are likely to be interested in visiting your site will see your ad – meaning fewer wasted clicks and better return on investment (ROI). In this short e-course I've only been able to scratch the surface of what it takes to start a successful online business. There's a whole bunch of stuff I just haven't had time to tell you about. I go into much more detail in my online business manual. I've still got a few copies left, but they're going fast. Grab your copy now – before your competitors do!
