Day 5 Subject: [firstname]: The business of starting your own cryptocurrency Hey [firstname]! If what I said yesterday hasn't put you off, you might want to take the plunge and start your own cryptocurrency. Let me warn you: It's not for the feint hearted! You need to be an expert coder, or be able to dig deep and hire one. If you're a complete newbie, it might be a good idea to partner up with someone who has experience in this area. There are also some “off the shelf” solutions which I'll talk about tomorrow. Regardless of which way you decide to go, you should create a prototype first. Sometimes it's easier to simply SHOW people what you're talking about instead of trying to explain things. Once you’ve developed your coin (or token) you need to spread the word so people can start mining it. In fact, it's a good idea to get miners on-board while your cryptocurrency is still in development. Raising awareness of its existence should help your cryptocurrency to gain some confidence in the eyes of its miners and users. After all, you'll need to convince individuals and merchants that this currency you’ve created holds value and can be traded for things, just like “hard” currency. Many cryptocurrency developers say that THIS is the hardest part. Finally, you'll need to find investors. It takes plenty of “hard” money to launch a cryptocurrency. It's best to leave this for the end of the development process. You'll need to be able to show people what they're buying in to, and be able to convince them it's a worthwhile investment. Talk soon! [Your Name] PS. There's still time to get you hands on my blockchain guide. Here's the link [link to sales page].
